“What it takes to build a world” – A new Boomtown film

Boomtown are due to release a new film at 1pm tomorrow, called “What It Takes To Build A World”. The 19 minute film has been leaked to Youtube early, and is already available to watch right now!

It’s an absolute treat for fans of the festival. Source thinks this might be the finest video they have ever put out. The film takes a brief look at the history of Boomtown before diving in to interviews with some of the main team behind the festival. They give a rare behind the scenes glimpse of what exactly goes into building Boomtown.

Boomtown News (BTN): 8 new stages, but where?

Boomtown have announced 8 new stages for 2019. The new information was revealed during the first BTN broadcast of the year on Friday. But where are they? What are they replacing? We don’t have all the answers yet, but Source is perhaps able to speculate a little…

Update: Please note that this page was written in February 2019. It no longer contains the most correct and up to date information on the new stages at Boomtown 2019.

We also learnt about the new Boomtown Radical Sound Design Group. They are doing everything possible to get the bass levels as loud as permitted, without breaching the strict sound leakage restrictions which have been imposed by the local authorities.

Respect Yourself, Respect Each Other, Respect Your City

Boomtown have launched a video to support their Respect campaign. The idea is to respect yourself, respect each other, and respect the city. These are principles to make sure everyone; punters, crew, artists and staff alike all have a great time at the festival.

The basic principles are sound. So have a watch of the video below and get yourself into the Boomtown mindset. We are all one big community, let’s all look out for one another and have a great time while at the festival and in our every day lives.

Boomtown Build Update 28/07/2018

Edging closer still; Boomtown Fair 2018 is less than 2 weeks away. Here is the latest Source round up of build photos, including an official video.

First up, we have a video posted yesterday on the official Facebook page. It has already been viewed 68k times at the time of post… With a capacity of 66k I guess everyone has watched it already (some more than once)! You guys are sure getting hyped.
